Organization Act of the K-12 Education Administration in the Ministry of Education

The K-12 Education Administration (hereinafter referred to as “this Administration”) is established by the Ministry of Education to deal with affairs pertaining to preschool, elementary, junior high, and senior high education.
1This Administration is in charge of the following duties:
21.The planning, implementation, and supervision of preschool, elementary, junior high, and senior high school education policies and systems, and the examination and amendment of relevant regulations.
32.The planning, implementation, and supervision of the general education affairs in senior high schools and vocational schools.
43.The planning, implementation, and supervision of the general education affairs in junior high and elementary schools.
54.The planning, implementation, and supervision of the general education affairs in preschools.
65.The planning, implementation, and supervision of the special education affairs in preschools, elementary, junior high, and senior high schools.
76.The planning, implementation, and supervision of the art education affairs in preschools, elementary, junior high, and senior high schools.
87.The planning, implementation, and supervision of education affairs in preschools, elementary, junior high, and senior high schools of the aboriginal and ethnic minority groups.
98.The planning, implementation, and supervision of the campus security affairs in preschools, elementary, junior high, and senior high schools.
109.The planning, implementation, and supervision of the campus sanitation affairs in preschools, elementary, junior high, and senior high schools.
1110.Other affairs which pertain to preschool, elementary, junior high, and senior high school education.
This Administration shall appoint one Director-General with Senior Grade 13; two Deputy Director-General with Senior Grade 12.
This Administration shall appoint one Chief Secretary with Senior Grade 11.

2Based on the table, army personnel with equivalent ranks can be appointed as the staff for campus security and national defense education.
The Executive Yuan shall issue an order to promulgate the date on which this Act takes effect.
