港埠檢疫費用徵收辦法

These Regulations are enacted pursuant to Paragraph 3, Article 59 of the Communicable Disease Control Act.

1Quarantine fees set out in these Regulations are as follows:

21. Vaccination fees, fees for malaria preventive medicines, and fees for medicines against amebiasis.

32. Certification fees:

41) Fees for international certificate of vaccination.

52) Fees for Ship Sanitation Control Certificate or Ship Sanitation Control Exemption Certificate.

63) Fees for certificate permitting export (departure) of remains

73. Sanitation quarantine fees: fees for sanitation quarantine of ships

8Fees under Subparagraph 1, and Items 1) and 3) of Subparagraph 2 of the preceding Paragraph will be collected from persons applying for international certificate of vaccination, preventive medicines for malaria, medicines against amebiasis, or permission for export (departure) of remains. However, fees for medicines against amebiasis will be collected only from aliens.

9Fees under Item 2) of Subparagraph 2 and Subparagraph 3 of Paragraph 1 hereof are collected from owners, managers or agents of transportation means entering or exiting the country (border).

1The term “tonnage” used in these Regulations means the total tonnage of the ship indicated on the certificate of ship's nationality or the yacht certificate.

2The term “passenger ship" used in these Regulations means a non-small ship that carries more than 12 passengers, and is intended for carrying passengers as defined in Subparagraph 2, Article 3 of the Law of Ships.

1Vaccination or medication fees shall be charged according to the following standards:

21. Yellow fever vaccination: the cost of each dose is the procurement cost plus an administrative fee of NT$180.

32. Meningococcal meningitis vaccination: the cost of each dose is the procurement cost plus an administrative fee NT$180.

43. Mpox vaccination: the cost of each dose is the procurement cost plus an administrative fee NT$180.

54. Typhoid vaccination: the cost of each dose is the procurement cost plus an administrative fee of NT$180.

65. Polio vaccination: the cost of each dose is the procurement cost plus an administrative fee of NT$180.

76. Malaria prevention medication: the cost of each tablet is the procurement cost plus an administrative fee of NT$25.

87. Amebiasis medication: the cost of each tablet is the procurement cost plus an administrative fee of NT$10.

Fees for an International Certificate of Vaccination or Prophylaxis shall be NT$210 for initial issuance or re-issuance and NT$160 for each additional issuance.

1Fees for a Ship Sanitation Control Certificate or Ship Sanitation Control Exemption Certificate shall be calculated by the tonnage of the ship and collected according to the following standards:

21. Under 1,000 tons: NT$ 3,600 per certificate;

32. More than 1,000 tons up to 10,000 tons: NT$ 6,000 per certificate for passenger ships; NT$4,800 per certificate for other types of ships;

43. More than 10,000 tons up to 50,000 tons: NT$ 7,550 per certificate for passenger ships; NT$6,000 per certificate for other types of ships; and

54. More than 50,000 tons: NT$ 9,000 per certificate for passenger ships; NT$7,200 per certificate for other types of ships.

The fee for the re-issuance, renewal, extension, release, or change of name or nationality of a Ship Sanitation Control Certificate or Ship Sanitation Control Exemption Certificate shall be NT$1,200 each.

Fees for certificates permitting the export (departure) of remains or other certificates shall be NT$250 per certificate.

1Fees for sanitary quarantine of ships shall be calculated based on each entry into the country (border) and shall be collected according to the following standards:

21. Fees for quarantine by review: NT$ 1,150 per ship for quarantine by review conducted via electronic communication; NT$1,050 per ship for quarantine by review conducted via the Single Window Service Platform of the port.

32. On-board quarantine fees:

41) Under 1,000 tons: NT$ 1,440 per ship;

52) More than 1,000 tons up to 5,000 tons: NT$ 2,280 per ship for passenger ships; NT$1,800 per ship for other types of ships;

63) More than 5,000 tons up to 10,000 tons: NT$3,000 per ship for passenger ships; NT$2,400 per ship for other types of ships;

74) More than 10,000 tons up to 30,000 tons: NT$3,850 per ship for passenger ships; NT$3,000 per ship for other types of ships;

85) More than 30,000 tons up to 50,000 tons: NT$5,300 per ship for passenger ships; NT$4,200 per ship for other types of ships; and

Fees for sanitary quarantine of ships shall be paid, on weekdays, by the shipping company or its agent before the departure of ships from port. Fees for ships that arrive or depart ports on holidays or during non-office hours may be paid the next day during office hours. However, the preceding provision does not apply to ships that are subject to other payment date or period as agreed by the CDC.

These Regulations shall be enforced on January 1, 2025, except for Subparagraph 3, Paragraph 1 of Article 4, which shall be enforced on the date of promulgation.
